Greenway Public Transportation is North Carolina’s newest transit system and the first urban-rural, multi-county regional transit authority in North Carolina.

We provide fixed route bus service to the cities of Conover, Hickory and Newton and the Town of Taylorsville and van service within Alexander, Burke, Caldwell and Catawba counties.

Join the thousands of residents in our region that enjoy public transportation. Transit is a responsible travel choice. It saves time and money, while helping to improve the quality of life in our communities by reducing traffic congestion and pollution.

All of our fixed route buses are 100%wheelchair accessible and equipped with bicycle racks. Nearly all of our vans are also wheelchair-accessible. We are continuing to bring more low emission vehicles into our fleet, such as hybrid/electric and biodiesel.

As you explore this site, you just might see other ways Greenway Public Transportation can suit your transportation needs. If you've never been on a Greenway Public Transportation bus or van before, we encourage you to ride with us. For more information call (828) 464-9444 today.

Whether you're going to work, to an appointment or just to see the sights, Greenway Public Transportation can get you there. We'll save you money, help the environment and reduce your stress by doing the driving for you.
