Greenway Public Transportation is North Carolina’s newest transit system and the first urban-rural, multi-county regional transit authority in North Carolina.

We provide fixed route bus service to the cities of Conover, Hickory and Newton and the Town of Taylorsville and van service within Alexander, Burke, Caldwell and Catawba counties.

Public Hearings to be held on March 11, 2010... there will be a several public hearings held on March 11, 2010. The public hearings will be held to 1) adopt the proposed 2011 Annual Budget, 2) Approve the CTP Grant Application for FY 2011, and 3) Approve the 5310, 5317, and 5317 Grant Application for FY 2011. The notices posted on our "news" page are in English and translated into Spanish.

Transfer Center in Hickory, NC – Construction is underway…the new Hickory Transit Transfer Center will be located between 1st Ave SW and 2nd Avenue SW in Hickory, NC. The construction is estimated to be completed in March 2010 or later. Minor changes in the route schedule will occur.
