SUBJECT: NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

Bus Shelters Construction (Assembly and installation)

The Western Piedmont Regional Transit Authority (Authority) invites proposals from qualified Contractors to construct (assemble and install) 25 bus shelters in the WPRTA service areas in the cities of Hickory, Newton and Conover and Taylorsville NC and the removal of four old shelters. This project is financed with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) funds.

Proposals must be submitted at or before 2:00 p.m., on July 21, 2010.

Bid Opening will take place on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Conference Room at WPRTA, 1515 4th Street SW, Conover, NC 28613 and is open to the public.

Offerors’ shall use the address specified below if proposals are delivered using the United Parcel Service (UPS) or Federal Express (FedEx):
